What is server on-premise?

An on-premise server is one in which the company itself has the responsibility to process its hardware and software applications. In other words, all infrastructure, customization, configuration and updating is done in-house.

As an in-house server, the company needs to have adequate physical space, as it is necessary to take care of the security and operation of the equipment, in addition to investing in systems that ensure the server against fires, floods, landslides and theft.

All data and IT resources are within the company. Therefore, this server model requires a larger initial investment (for the acquisition of software and hardware) and the hiring of a specialized internal team, so that information is always secure and accessible.
